Also, since VPH projects are comprised of researchers geographically dispersed across Europe and beyond, multi-site collaborations are a fact of life. Such activity often requires supporting tools and services where the interaction is not face-to-face. This section contains tools for supporting communication and the management of virtual teams, which have proved to be of use to others, and which may benefit you also. There are also many services available to aid collaboration. An article summarising the NoE's experiences with various collaborative tools and services may also be of interest. |
Many of us recognise the need for regular face to face meetings, as these are by far the most productive mechanisms for presentations and discussions, but also recognise that where this is not possible, technology can make these interactions more effective.
